Throughout my career I have maintained a deep interest in what makes us unhappy in life – have we lived with it for so many years that it has become so much a part of us we hardly know it’s there? One client described this as a “nagging voice that led me on a search”, another said it was like “the familiar shadow that is always there but because it’s been there so long, you get used to it”. On the other hand, you may know full well you are struggling and are looking for some resolution, you may have been diagnosed with anxiety or depression and/or you may have experienced a childhood that has left some scars. It may manifest as difficulties in a relationship, in your parenting, in your workplace and in your home life.

Issues I specialise in working with:
I am comfortable working with a wide range of cultures, religions and with Indigenous and LGBTI clients. I have worked with groups and individuals. |
Therapeutic Framework:I have had extensive training over the years in many therapeutic frameworks and have found this useful in tailoring them to the clients’ needs. I have developed an eclectic approach working to the strengths of my clients in a way that gives them back the control in their lives they may have felt was no longer there. I see myself as the conduit that walks beside clients in their journey to wellness. I hope to provide them with a copy of my own ‘bag of tools’ which will in the end, render me redundant. |
